It gives you shade through the summer and shelter from a shower, so the space outside your doors gets used for more of the year. The fixing takes the strain of wind and weather, so we survey the wall at the visit and fit into solid masonry.

A motorised awning runs out and back on a motor, worked from a remote or a wall switch, with no winding handle. It suits wide spans and anyone who would rather not wind out a large canopy by hand, and a wind sensor can bring it in on its own when the weather turns. We check the wall and the power supply at the visit and set the open and closed positions before we leave.
