Motorisation
Blinds and curtains you move from a remote, a phone or your voice. We fit the motor, set the limits and show you how everything works before we leave.

Roller, Roman, pleated and Vision blinds are all available with a motor. They suit tall windows, skylights and anywhere a cord is awkward or unsafe — a cordless blind is the safest kind in a child’s room. Battery or mains is an option rather than a different product: a rechargeable battery motor needs no wiring and is charged a couple of times a year, while a hardwired motor suits a window you would rather never think about, and we talk through both at the visit. We set the top and bottom limits and pair the remote before we leave.

An electric track draws your curtains with a quiet motor, started from a remote, a wall switch, an app or a gentle pull on the fabric. It suits wide spans, heavy interlined curtains and hard-to-reach windows. We check the fixing and the power option at the visit — most can go wherever an ordinary track can.

A motorised skylight blind answers the roof window you cannot reach: it runs in side channels and is driven by a remote or an app instead of a pole. They suit loft bedrooms, stairwells and high conservatory roofs, and can be set to close on a schedule so a room does not bake while you are out. We take the roof window model at the visit and set the limits before we leave.

Motorised blinds and tracks can join your smart home, so they open on a schedule, respond to Alexa or Google, or close with everything else when you say goodnight. Timed blinds also make a home look lived-in while you are away. Tell us what you already use and we will set it all up as part of the fitting.

Questions people ask us
We look at the windows you want covered, show you samples, talk through the options and measure up. You get a price for the work before we leave, or shortly after if it is a bigger job.
For a couple of rooms it usually takes about an hour. A whole house takes longer — tell us roughly how many windows when you book and we will set aside enough time.
It depends on the size of the window, the product and the fabric or finish you choose. That is why we measure before quoting rather than giving a figure over the phone.
You get one price that covers the product, the making and the fitting. The price we agree is the price you pay — we do not add anything afterwards.
Tell us and we will come back and put it right. You are dealing with the people who measured and fitted it, not a call centre, so there is nobody to pass you between.
Everything we supply and fit is guaranteed for 12 months.
