Curtains
Curtains made to your measurements, in fabrics you choose from the sample books at your own window. We measure, the makers sew, and the person who measured comes back and hangs them.

Made-to-measure curtains
Curtains sewn to your exact drop and width, lined or interlined, in a heading style that suits the room — pencil pleat, pinch pleat, eyelet or wave. They work anywhere you want softness, warmth or blackout, from a small bedroom window to a full wall of glass. At the visit we bring the fabric books, measure every window ourselves and give you a written price before you order.

Pelmets
A pelmet is a fabric-covered board fitted above the window that hides the track and tidies the top of the curtains. It suits bay windows, tall period rooms and anywhere a bare track would spoil the look, and it can be made in the curtain fabric or a contrast. We measure the return and projection at the visit so the curtains draw freely behind it.

Swags and tails are a traditional dressing: fabric draped across the top of the window with shaped tails falling down each side. They suit tall windows in period homes, over full-length curtains or on their own. Every set is cut to the individual window, so at the visit we measure up and talk through fabrics and linings before anything is made.

Wooden and metal poles, corded and uncorded tracks, and bent-to-shape tracks for bay windows. The fixing matters as much as the product: heavy interlined curtains need a pole or track screwed into something solid, not just plasterboard. We check what your wall will take at the visit and fit everything level and true.

Questions people ask us
No, and most people do not. That is what the visit is for. We bring the sample books to you, you see the fabrics and finishes against your own walls and your own light, and we talk through what works for each window.
If you would rather take the samples away and think about it, that is fine too.
It depends on the size of the window, the product and the fabric or finish you choose. That is why we measure before quoting rather than giving a figure over the phone.
You get one price that covers the product, the making and the fitting. The price we agree is the price you pay — we do not add anything afterwards.
Everything is made to your measurements, so there is a wait between ordering and fitting. It is usually two to three weeks for blinds and curtains, and three to five weeks for shutters.
We confirm the timing at your visit, once we know exactly what you are having.
